Why is my information and/or picture on Arrest Files?

Most Sheriff's office publish arrest information and booking photographs publicly, when an arrest has been made. Most arrests, with few exceptions (i.e. juvenile arrests), are typically made public by a law enforcement agency and/or government agency.

How do I remove a file?

If your case has been expunged, sealed, dismissed/dropped (No File, Nolle Prosequi, etc.), you have been found not guilty/acquitted, courts have provided you with an order of nondisclosure, or the file is of a deceased person, we will remove the file. Simply click the Contact link and open a support ticket request. So we can better assist you, please have supporting documents ready (Order to Expunge, Copy of the Disposition, etc.), prior to opening a support ticket.

I turned myself in, so why am I on this site?

Arrest Files database not only stores arrests information, but also stores other information which was made public by law enforcement or government agency. For example, we also display warrant information, which is not exactly an arrest, rather it's related to a possible arrest.

Information is not current?

Arrest Files caches information as soon as it becomes available to the public, at or around the time of arrest, booking, warrant, etc. Any new information, i.e. change in charge(s), dropped charge(s), etc., please contact appropriate law enforcement agency or government agency.

How does Arrest Files comply with Arizona Law HB 2191 2019?

Arrest Files does not accept any payment or any consideration of payment for removal of Arizona booking photography.

How does Arrest Files comply with Florida Law SB 118 2018?

Arrest Files does not accept any payment or any consideration of payment for removal of Florida booking photography.

How to remove Georgia files, per Georgia Law HB 150 2014?

Arrest Files will remove any file in compliance with GA HB 150 2014. If you wish to mail the request or electronically file the request, please click the Contact link and open a support ticket request.

What happens when a file gets removed?

The file and associated booking photograph(s) will be removed from public view and no longer publicly searchable on Arrest Files. Search engines or websites linking to the Arrest Files page, will find a "Page Not Found".

If the person is not you, than it's another person with the same name.
